Prof. Rudnyckyj Addresses Congress
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - Prof. Jaroslaw B. Rudnyckyj, noted Ukrainian Slavicist, delivered a paper at the International Congress of Phonetic Sciences, which was held here Saturday through Monday, December 17-19, 1977. He was the only Ukrainian scholar to take part in the parley.
In his paper, entitled "Phonetic Aspects of Trilingualism," Prof. Rudnyckyj discussed the effects of English and French, the two official languages in Canada, on the mother tongue of Ukrainian Canadians.
The next congress will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1979.
