British Embassy announces new project

KYIV - The British Embassy in Kyiv announced the launch of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Human Rights Project Fund for 2000-2001. Having made human rights central to its foreign policy, the British government set up the HRPF as a dedicated fund for human rights work around the world.

The project will support freedom of expression, development of independent media, prison reform, ethnic minority rights, and the rights of children, women and disabled, and will combat the death penalty.
