CCRF plans emergency airlift

SHORT HILLS, N.J. - In response to an urgent request from Ukraine's Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Relief regarding the recent coal mining accident in the Luhansk region of Ukraine, the Children of Chornobyl Relief Fund is organizing an emergency airlift to assist the victims' families and their children.

The CCRF is asking community members to adopt one of the 87 families that were stricken by this tragedy by immediately sending $200 donations to the CCRF. The CCRF will then leverage each $200 donation to provide relief supplies in the value of $2,000. The humanitarian aid will be hand-delivered to the families by the CCRF's in-country director in the Luhansk region. (When sending donations, please indicate if you would like to be acknowledged by your adopted family or if you would like to remain anonymous.)

Please make checks payable to the CCRF and mail them to: Children of Chornobyl Relief Fund, 272 Old Short Hills Road, Short Hills, NJ 07078. For information call (973) 376-5140 or fax (973) 376-4988.
