Schumylowyches exhibit artworks

NEW YORK - Taras Schumylowych will exhibit two tempera paintings, "USCG Cutter Eagle" and "Forgotten," and one oil painting, "Autumn Stories," at the 53rd annual group exhibit sponsored by the Twilight Park Artists.

The exhibition, which features the works of some 70 artists, is being held on Saturday and Sunday, August 12-13 in the Twilight Park Clubhouse in Haines Falls, N.Y.

Also participating in the show, in the "Young Artists' Division," are three Schumylowych grandchildren: Xenia, 12; Justin, 9; and Larissa, 6. Xenia will exhibit "Flamingo Pond" and "Sunset on a Tropical Island" (tempera), Justin - "Sunset" and "My Castle" (tempera); and Larissa - "Forest Valley" and "Flowers in the Meadow" (tempera).

The art show opens to the public with a wine reception on Saturday at 5-7 p.m. and continues through Sunday at 1-5 p.m. An artist demonstration is planned for Sunday at 3-4 p.m.

The Schumylowyches are members of Ukrainian National Association Branch 86.
