- NEW YORK: The Ukrainian Art and Literary Club and Mayana Gallery invite
the public to "Selo Moye Sviatkova," an evening featuring Daniel
Bavolack, a second-generation Rusyn, who will speak on his recent travels
to his ancestral villages in the Lemko region (western Ukrainian ethnographic
territory). The program will be presented in English. Donation: $7; students,
$5. In the gallery, the "Spring Exhibit" will also include reproductions
of antique Lemko church icons. The program will take place at the Mayana

- LEIGHTON, Pa.: The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Ukrainian Philatelic
and Numismatic Society will hold its 17th annual Zustrich-Meet at the Ukrainian
Homestead Resort, 1230 Beaver Run Drive, (610) 377-4621. This get-together
of East Coast philatelists (some of whom stay all three days) is open to
anyone interested in acquiring, selling, trading or just learning more
about Ukrainian stamps, banknotes and coins. The Ukrainian Weekly's own
"Focus on Philately" columnist Dr. Ingert Kuzych will be on hand
with some of his interesting and unusual acquisitions and to answer questions.

- CAMBRIDGE, Mass.: The Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute (HURI) will
host a lecture given by Roman Syrota, associate professor of history, Ivan
Franko National University, Lviv, and HURI Research Fellow, titled "The
Curzon Line or the Namier Line? New Light on the Authorship of the Ukrainian-Polish
Border." The lecture will be held in the HURI Seminar Room, 1583 Massachusetts

- TORONTO: The exhibit "Laluque: Paintings," featuring artwork
by Natalia Laluque, is on view at the Arta Gallery. The exhibit marks the
first paintings show in Toronto by Ms. Laluque - a ceramics artist and
graphic designer who emigrated from Kyiv. The Arta Gallery, at 55 Mill
St., Suite 102, Building 9, is located in Toronto's Distillery District,
an important culture and arts center. The exhibit, which opened on April

by The Ukrainian Weekly to the Ukrainian community. To have an event listed
in Preview of Events please send information, in English, written in Preview
format, i.e., in a brief paragraph that includes the date, place, type of
event, sponsor, admission, full names of persons and/or organizations involved,
and a phone number to be published for readers who may require additional
information. Items should be no more than 100 words long; all submissions
are subject to editing. Items not written in Preview format or submitted
without all required information will not be published.
Preview items must be received no later than one week before the desired
date of publication. No information will be taken over the phone. Items
will be published only once, unless otherwise indicated. Please send payment
of $20 for each time the item is to appear and indicate date(s) of issue(s)
in which the item is to be published. Also, please include the phone number
