- HORSHAM, Pa.: The Tryzub Ukrainian American Sport Center celebrates
its 25th anniversary at the Tryzubivka homestead with festivities starting
at noon. The festival will feature Ukrainian folk music, dance and food.
The day will also mark the start of the 25th soccer season, with the first
game slated for 3:30 p.m. Admission: $10 per person; children age 13 and

- PHILADELPHIA: The School of the Voloshky Ukrainian Dance Ensemble begins
its school year on Monday, September 13. Registration of children age 4
and above will take place September 13 through 27 at 6 p.m. at the Ukrainian
Educational and Cultural Center, 700 Cedar Road, Jenkintown, Pa. Classes
will be held weekly on Monday evenings at the center. For additional information

- GLEN SPEY, N.Y.: The Verkhovyna Resort will hold its traditional Potato
Bake ("Pechennia Baraboli") on the premises of the main builidng,

- CHICAGO: The Char Zilliya Bandura Ensemble - Motria Poshyvanyk Caudill,
Lesya Klimchenko, Myroslava Kuka, Oksana Petriv, Oksana Rodak and Iryna
Turshyn - will appear in concert as part of the Fourth Presbyterian Church
Noonday Concert Series. The concert program will feature Ukrainian sacred,
folk, classical and instrumental music. Performance time: 12:10 p.m. The
concert will be held at the Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago, 126
E. Chestnut St. (Michigan Avenue at Delaware and Chestnut, across from

Saturday-Sunday, September 25-26
- SILVER SPRING, Md.: The Washington Ukrainian Festival, sponsored by
the Ukrainian Festival Committee with the support of the Ukrainian Embassy
and local organizations, will be held on the grounds of St. Andrew Ukrainian
Orthodox Cathedral, 5100 New Hampshire Ave. The festival will be opened
by Archbishop Antony and Ambassador of Ukraine Mykhailo Reznik. The festival
program will feature Ukrainian singers, dancers and other performers from
the U.S., Canada and Ukraine. Among featured performers will be the well-known
violin virtuoso Vasyl Popadiuk from Canada. Ukrainian crafts, arts, paintings,
ceramics, jewelry and other items will be available for viewing and sale.
There will also be Ukrainian and American food concessions and the now
famous Kozak Beer Garden with its selection of Ukrainian beers and liqueurs.
A dance (zabava) will be held on Saturday in the St. Andrew Founders Hall

- CHICAGO: The art exhibit "Konstantin Milonadis - Material in Motion:
A Survey of Work in Collections," is on view at the Ukrainian Institute
of Modern Art, 2320 W. Chicago Ave. The sculptures presented in the exhibition
span several decades of production and have been selected from private
collections in the Chicago area. A catalogue of the exhibition is available.
The exhibition, which opened September 5, will be on view through October

- NEW YORK: The Ukrainian Engineer's Society of America (UESA) and the
Ukrainian Medical Association of North America (UMANA) invite the public
to a post-Labor Day zabava (dance) to benefit the Ukrainian Institute of
America. The dance, featuring music by Fata Morgana, will be held at the
institute, 2 E. 79th St., starting at 9 p.m. Admission: $45; $25, students.
