DONETSK – Observers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) have spotted near Donetsk a group of armed men wearing uniforms marked with the insignia of Russian army units, as well as military equipment with Russian license plates, the head of the OSCE’s Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (SMM) Michael Bociurkiw said on Ukrainian radio station Radio Vesti on June 3. “I want to note an important point, that last week, on May 28-29, in the area of Donetsk our observers came across three armed men in camouflage uniforms with the stripes of Russian army units,” he said. In addition, Mr. Bociurkiw said the observers also spotted military equipment with license plates from the Russian Federation. As UNIAN reported earlier, Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights Ivan Šimonović said that the United Nations had recorded more signs of Russian involvement in the Donbas war. (UNIAN)
